India International Food & Agri Expo 2010 (IIFAE - 2010) - from December 11th to 13th - 2010, Cochin (India)

The 3rd India International Food and Agri Expo (IIFAE 2010) will be held from 11 to 13 December, 2010 at Gokulam Convention Center, Cochin, Kerala (India).

 

It is being organised by Foundation for Organic Agriculture and Rural Development in association with The Directorate of Arecanut and Spices Development (Government of India). IIFAE – 2010 is sponsored by NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development), Federal Bank etc. and there will be participation from many reputed organizations in the field of Food and Agriculture.

Last year's event India International Food and Agri Expo - 2009 (IIFAE – '09) had attracted large number of exhibitors and visitors from different parts of the globe. This year's event is expected to attract more number of exhibitors and visitors from India and abroad.


Stall tariff starts from Rs.15000/- (US$ 340) onwards.

CPCB declared Gujarat as the most-polluted state in India


The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has declared Gujarat as the most polluted state in the country. Gujarat is followed by Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

New Tata Nano Car bursts into flames

I had some basic doubts on the safety of Tata Nano car (World's Cheapest Car) from the day I saw the demo model at one of their showrooms. This car has got the fuel inlet at the front under the bonnet. Any leaked fuel could potentially cause a disaster, especially when it is on the move. A recent incident could be indicative of this layout issue.

Yesterday, Mr. Satish Sawant an insurance agent from LIC Colony, Mulund (W), Mumbai was taking his brand new Tata Nano car home from the showroom when it burst into flames. He managed to escape unscathed.
